Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and applicable state laws, consumers and commercial drivers have the right to direct businesses not to “sell” or “share” their personal data, and to opt out of the processing of their personal information for targeted advertising and lead distribution.

Use the options below to exercise your privacy preferences.

1. Opt Out of Personal Data Sharing & Lead Transfers

If you previously submitted your contact details or case information through our Legal Guide, Hire a Lawyer, or Accident Victims Guide sections and wish to revoke consent or prevent your information from being distributed to participating independent attorneys or legal marketing partners, submit the form below.

2. Opt Out of Targeted Advertising & Tracking Cookies

The Texas Trucker displays programmatic advertising and measures reader engagement using third-party cookies and analytics pixels. To opt out of behavioral and targeted advertising:

  • Network Advertising Alliance: You can opt out of interest-based ads across participating ad exchanges by visiting the DAA WebChoices Browser Tool or the NAI Consumer Opt-Out Page.

  • Google Personalized Ads: To manage how Google personalizes ads to your profile, update your preferences at Google Ads Settings.

3. Verification & Processing Timelines

  • Response Window: Under the Texas TDPSA, we will process and honor verifiable opt-out requests within 45 calendar days of receipt at no charge.

  • Verification: To protect consumer privacy, we may contact you at the email address provided to confirm your identity before processing deletion or data modification requests.

  • Right to Appeal: If we are unable to process your request or deny your claim, we will provide a written explanation. You may appeal our decision within 30 days by emailing privacy@thetexastrucker.com.
