An Indiana man is facing two felony charges after allegedly pointing a handgun at another man during a confrontation over moving a truck at a Love’s Travel Stop in North Platte, Nebraska.
Donald W. Roznovsky, 65, of Muncie, Indiana, is accused of pointing a black handgun at the man twice while ordering him to move his truck, according to court documents.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, at the Love’s Travel Stop near Interstate 80 Exit 179. The truck stop is located at 3211 S. Newberry Road in North Platte.
According to court documents, North Platte police officers reviewed video footage of the confrontation before arresting Roznovsky without incident.
He was subsequently booked into the Lincoln County Detention Center. A booking record published by the North Platte Bulletin lists his bond amount as $150,000.
Roznovsky faces two felony charges:
- Use of a firearm to commit a felony, classified as a Class IC felony under Nebraska Revised Statute 28-1205.
- Terroristic threats, classified as a Class IIIA felony under Nebraska Revised Statute 28-311.01.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, in Lincoln County Court.
During the hearing, a judge will determine whether prosecutors have presented sufficient evidence to establish probable cause for the felony charges. If probable cause is established, the case may proceed to District Court for further proceedings.
The charges remain allegations, and Roznovsky is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
